1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using OuterSec ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

OuterSec provides automated compliance monitoring for SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and PCI-DSS frameworks. The Service includes security scanning, alerting, reporting, and related features.

3. Account Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • You may not share your account with others
  • You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service

4. Subscription and Payment

Free Trial: New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial.

Billing: After the trial period, you will be charged the monthly subscription fee for your selected plan.

Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless canceled.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from your billing portal. No refunds for partial months.

Price Changes: We may change pricing with 30 days notice to existing customers.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems
  • Scan systems you do not own or have permission to scan
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Service
  • Use the Service to send spam or malicious content
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

6. Intellectual Property

Ownership: OuterSec and its content, features, and functionality are owned by OuterSec and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Your Data: You retain ownership of all data you upload or generate using the Service. You grant us a license to use this data solely to provide the Service.

7. Service Availability

Uptime: We target 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service.

Maintenance: We may perform scheduled maintenance with advance notice.

No Warranty: The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OuterSec shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold OuterSec harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

10. Data Protection

We comply with applicable data protection laws including GDPR and CCPA. See our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your data.

11. Termination

By You: You may terminate your account at any time by canceling your subscription.

By Us: We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, non-payment, or illegal activity.

Effect: Upon termination, you lose access to the Service. We may delete your data after 30 days.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of California.
